Manulife Financial to release second quarter financial results

Toronto
– Manulife Financial Corporation will release its second quarter financial results on the morning of Thursday, August 7, 2008 followed by a live webcast of the quarterly conference call with analysts beginning at 2:00 p.m. (ET).

The one-hour webcast will feature presentations by Dominic D'Alessandro, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Peter Rubenovitch, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

The presentation material to be referenced during the call will be posted on the Manulife Financial website and available for download following the release of the second quarter results. Both the presentation material and the live audio webcast can be accessed at www.manulife.com/QuarterlyReports. Archived recordings of the webcast will be available at the same address from 6:00 p.m. (ET) on August 7, 2008 until November 6, 2008.
