Fiddler plays his music for children Manulife sponsors production of “Fiddler on the Roof” in Hong Kong Hong Kong – More than 30 children and their guardians from the small group homes of the Hong Kong Christian Service (HKCS) recently met with the members of the cast of a local production of Fiddler on the Roof after a performance at the City Hall Theatre. Presented by the Hong Kong Singers, Fiddler on the Roof is one of the world’s most popular musicals, featuring the lives of a family in long-ago Russia who strive to preserve traditions in a changing world. The children, who were guests of Manulife Financial, the sponsor of the production, enjoyed the scenes and costumes of early 20th century Russia, while the story of love and family tradition struck a chord with them.
