Manulife Life Insurance Company has enhanced its Internet Web site (www.manulife.co.jp) functionality

Japan - Manulife Life Insurance Company (Manulife Japan) (Head Office: Chofu-shi, Tokyo, President & CEO: Trevor Matthews) today added new functions to its Internet Web site to support existing policyholders.

New customer transaction capabilities were added allowing existing policyholders to submit “Address Change,” “Reissuance of Tax Deduction Certificate,” “Bank Account Change,” and “Last Name Change” transactions.

These new functions are being delivered from within Manulife Japan’s current Web site. A large navigation banner is being added on the top of its Web site to enable direct access to the “Operation Flow Guidance” page, which supports various procedures and inquiries.

Every process necessary to respective procedures is instantly recognizable by an explanation chart with icons. Therefore, policyholders can easily go to the page supporting their necessary procedures via this ”Operation Flow Guidance” page.

TheAddress Change” and “Reissuance of Tax Deduction Certificate” functions can be fully completed on this Web site. As for the “Bank Account Change” and Last Name Change” options, the customer can submit a request to Manulife Japan to mail the necessary documents to the customers. In addition, Manulife Japan maximizes the assurance of security of customers’ personal data using modern encryption techniques.

Regarding this enhancement to Manulife Japan’s Internet Web site, Armin Froelich, Managing Corporate Officer and VP in charge of this operation stated the following:

This enhanced Web site functionality allows us to deliver new services to our customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This user-friendly system lets our customers interact with us at their convenience. This is just the first of many new features planned to enhance the service we provide to our customers.“
