Beverly S. Margolian
Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer

  Beverly S. Margolian holds the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, responsible for all aspects of Manulife’s Risk Management programs worldwide, including programs related to credit risk, market and asset liability risk, insurance risk and operations risk. She chairs Manulife’s Executive Risk Committee, Global Asset Liability Committee and Product Oversight Committee. She also sits on the Manulife’s Credit Committee and is a member of the Company’s Executive Committee.
Ms. Margolian joined Manulife in 1979 and has held several actuarial and financial management positions, including roles in many of Manulife’s operating divisions. Prior to her appointment as Chief Risk Officer in 2001, she was Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller where she heavily participated in Manulife’s demutualization initiative.
She received her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries. She has participated on a variety of industry and professional groups related to risk management, and currently is a member of the CLHIA Capital Committee and the MCCSR Advisory Committee.
