| Privacy Notice - John Hancock Freedom 529 * The Alaska College Savings Act requires that the name, address, and other information identifying a person as an Account Holder or Beneficiary in the Education Trust of Alaska be confidential. The Education Trust of Alaska recognizes its obligation to keep information about you and your beneficiaries secure and confidential. The Education Trust of Alaska has selected T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. and its affiliates (“T. Rowe Price”) to act as Program Manager for the Education Trust of Alaska in providing investment, record keeping, and other administrative services for the Plan.** T. Rowe Price has engaged John Hancock Distributors LLC and its affiliates (“John Hancock”) to market and distribute John Hancock Freedom 529, a national plan offered by the Trust, through third party financial consultants.*** In this Privacy Policy, the Trust, T. Rowe Price, John Hancock and your third party financial consultant are referred to as the “Parties”. Collecting and Using Information Through your participation in the Plan, the Parties collect various types of confidential information you provide in your Account agreement, such as your name and the name of the Beneficiary, Social Security Numbers, addresses, and occupation information. The Parties also collect confidential information relating to your Plan transactions, such as Account balances, contributions, distributions, and investments. The Parties will not disclose any such information about Account Holders, former Account Holders, or Beneficiaries to anyone, except as permitted by law or in accordance with your consent. Marketing Opt-Out The Education Trust of Alaska and John Hancock may in the future use the information collected about you to identify and send you, the Account Holder, information about savings or investment programs offered by the Education Trust of Alaska or John Hancock that might interest you. If you do not wish to receive such information, call John Hancock Freedom 529 toll-free at 1-866-222-7498. Protection of Information The Parties maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information about you that each of them collects or uses. These include restricting access to those individuals who have a need to know the information, such as to those who service your Account, resolve problems, or inform you of additional products or services where appropriate. * This privacy policy, written in accordance to FTC regulations, is provided to you as a courtesy, even though the Education Trust of Alaska may not be subject to those regulations. ** T. Rowe Price affiliates directly providing services for the Plan are T. Rowe Price Services, Inc. and T. Rowe Price Investment Services, Inc. *** The John Hancock affiliate directly providing services for the Plan is John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.). |
