Manulife Private account unveils new proposal generator
for multi-style managed accounts
--Financial Consultants offered wealth of choice with new sales tools--

Boston – Utilizing its in-depth knowledge of Financial Consultants and high net worth clients, Manulife Private Account is offering a new sales tool to assist advisors in creating customized proposals for their managed account clients. The Proposal Generator is available on the Manulife Private Account Financial Consultant Resource Center at www.manulifeprivateaccount.com, which also provides a multitude of sales and promotion ideas, quarterly commentaries, and an array of sales tools, including calculators.

All Financial Consultants licensed to sell Manulife Private Account can access the FC Resource Center to quickly generate customized proposals. With this proposal system, Financial Consultants are able to input information about their clients easily by answering a series of questions. Once these questions are answered, the Financial Consultant has the option of creating a quick proposal or building their own customized proposal to specifically address a client’s concerns. Then, Financial Consultants have the option of either printing these personalized proposals themselves or having Manulife provide a professionally bound and color printed version that will be shipped within 48 hours.

“In general, high net worth clients want more upscale, personalized materials, especially when it concerns their finances. Recognizing this fact, our Proposal Generator allows Financial Consultants to work with their clients to develop a customized proposal that complements their overall wealth management strategy,” Marc Costantini, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Manulife Private Account.

“Many clients believe that they are diversified, but with multiple holdings with many different investment firms, who in volatile markets may change their investment style, it can be difficult to keep track of these investments, and many clients do not realize that their holdings have drifted away from their original intent. Because Manulife Private Account’s portfolios are reallocated regularly to ensure style purity, a client can be assured that his or her assets are in keeping with their investment strategy,” said Mr. Costantini. With this in mind, Manulife has also developed Portfolio Analytics, which compares current portfolio holdings to holdings in a proposed Manulife Private Account. Portfolio Analytics allows the Financial Consultant to view a client’s current overall holdings, determine their degree of diversification, and overall risk/return trade-off. Then the Proposal Generator is used to identify the Manulife Private Account that could meet that client’s overall financial needs.

Through the FC Resource Center, Financial Consultants licensed to sell Manulife Private Account have access to Investor Profiler, an online suitability tool, which helps to determine which portfolio will best fit a client’s profile and investment strategy. Also available to Financial Consultants is a Fee Calculator that illustrates hypothetical performance at the individual client level both with and without the annual client fee. “Meeting the needs of clients and Financial Consultants is at the forefront of everything that we do.
