Manulife USA Wins “Best of Show” for its Insurance Journal

Boston – The Insurance Division of The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.) (Manulife USA) was awarded “Best of Show” by its peers at the Life Communicators Association (LCA) for its first quarter 2003 issue of Manulife’s Journal. Manulife USA’s Insurance Division also received Awards of Excellence for its 2003 incentive conference mailer, “Lanai ‘Imagine Yourself’” and its brochure, “A Guide to Investing.”

Manulife’s Journal placed first out of 25 entries in the Agent Sales Promotions category. The Journal is Manulife USA’s Insurance Division’s quarterly magazine and provides insight for registered representatives about new products and service developments at Manulife. According to the LCA Award judges, the Journal implements a “great overall execution” with “excellent concepts throughout,” and has “excellent writing” and “great use of color and graphics.”

The two pieces that received LCA’s Awards of Excellence were also highly praised by this year’s LCA judges. In the category of Agent Convention Promotion, Manulife USA’s “Lanai ‘Imagine Yourself’” mailer was commended for being “eye-catching and clever” and the use of “vibrant colors and a clean layout.” Similarly, Manulife’s “A Guide to Investing”, which was judged in the Prospect Sales Brochure category, was praised for its “impactful, conceptual photos” and “smart and contemporary” copy.

“We are extremely pleased to receive all of these awards from our peers at the Life Communicators Association and proud that our commitment to providing the very best sales literature for both our financial consultants and our clients has been recognized,” said Robert A. Cook, President, President of U.S. Insurance, Manulife USA.
