Manulife USA offers innovative online tools to Variable Annuity Partners

Boston – Recognizing the increasing importance of the online relationship with its selling partners, Manulife USA has added a new suite of tools to the financial advisor section of its Web site, www.manulifeusa.com.

These new tools allow investment professionals to create custom illustrations of various Manulife Venture annuity scenarios, including the GRIP II living benefit rider, GEM enhanced death benefit rider, as well as hypothetical investment scenarios depicting actual historical portfolio returns. Also included are two distinct asset allocation software programs, including a proprietary risk assessment tool based on Manulife’s own Lifestyle investment philosophy, and an independent analysis & market data module developed in collaboration with Thomson Financial.

“Our new tools address some of the most pressing needs of the financial professionals who distribute our products. Often, their clients' questions and concerns can best be addressed by simple illustrations of major product features and investment strategies. Now, a wealth of appropriate tools can be conveniently accessed and customized right on our Web site” said Jim Boyle, President, U.S. Annuities for Manulife USA.

The Thomson Financial portion of the online illustration center allows representatives to perform detailed analysis of how well their current holdings meet their stated goals. “Our new tools help reps obtain unbiased information on the entire variable annuity, mutual fund, and equity markets,” added Robert T. Cassato, President of Manulife Wood Logan, the marketing and distribution arm of Manulife USA’s Venture annuity products and Manulife College Savings. “We believe that reps will find such “open architecture” both valuable and refreshing, especially since it is available without cost to reps who are registered on our site – whether they are currently doing business with Manulife or not.”

The new online illustration center joins a robust array of online content already available on www.manulifeusa.com, including detailed performance reports and portfolio statistics for each of the 59 sub-accounts currently available in Manulife's Venture family of annuities. Portfolio manager updates and outlooks, detailed product education and positioning strategies, and historical contract values are also available online.
