Additional Disclosure on Executive Pensions

In the Manulife Financial Corporation Proxy Circular on pages 27 and 28, detailed information about Manulife’s Supplemental Retirement Income Program is disclosed. The amount of credited service and the basis for determining the estimated pension benefit is provided for each named executive.

For the purpose of clarity, outlined below is the estimated annual pension for each named executive based on current compensation, assuming they retired at December 31, 2003 and at their normal retirement age of 65.
