Ho Chi Minh City - Manulife Vietnam, a leading life insurance provider, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. CHUNG Ba Phuong as Chief Executive Officer and General Director with effect from April 1^st, 2012.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Phuong was Senior Vice President, Business Development at Manulife-Sinochem Life Insurance Company (MSL) in China for the past three years. His responsibilities with MSL included product pricing, marketing and employee benefits. Before joining MSL in 2009, he worked for an international life insurance company for about ten years, covering such areas as financial and capital issues, new market entry, IT operational readiness and product development. He has worked in various territories including Hong Kong, China, India and Vietnam.

Mr. Phuong is a Vietnamese-Canadian, has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) Degree from the University of Manitoba in Canada and was one of the youngest to qualify for his Fellowship of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
