Bangkok – Manulife Thailand has earned a Queen’s trophy for the Highest Participation Award at the 5th “Cancer Care” Charity Fun Run, in which over 200 of its employees and agents took part. The award was presented to Mr. Jack Chye, CFO of Manulife Thailand, by Mr. Rami Sayess, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at the event on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Lumpini Park.

Manulife Thailand is proud to be supporting the Cancer Care Charity Fun Run in association with the Thai Red Cross Society, the Canadian Embassy as well as major sponsors. Proceeds from the run will go towards research projects currently conducted by the Hematological Cancer Research Centre at Chulalongkorn Hospital.

Mr. Alan Ng, President & CEO Manulife  Insurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited explained that “As we celebrate our global 125^th anniversary, we are proud to be involved in this fun run and to have so many of people taking part themselves and helping to raise much needed funds. It is a great honor for us to contribute to the well being of the local community. It is a sad fact today that most people know someone who has been affected by cancer and that is why it is important for us to support research into fighting this disease.”
