Hanoi - Manulife Vietnam, a top life insurer in Vietnam, is pleased to sponsor a package of VND 200 million for Vietnam’s Olympic team at the 2012 Games in London. The amount includes VND 10 million for each of Vietnam’s 18 Olympians to cover personal expenses. This sponsorship underscores Manulife’s support for developing Vietnam’s sport under the cooperation agreement signed with the Vietnam Sports Administration in April 2012.

Mr. Chung Ba Phuong, CEO of Manulife Vietnam shared: “We are very proud to be able to reaffirm our support of the Vietnam Sports Administration. This is a great opportunity for us to express our care for Vietnam’s top sportsmen and demonstrate our commitment to Vietnam’s sporting future. We wish all of our Olympians great achievements at the London Games”.

Mr. Lam Quang Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Sports Administration, said: “We would like to express our special thanks to Manulife for its contribution. This sponsorship not only gives financial support to the athletes but also a source of motivation to them, helping them to be fully dedicated to the competition and bring glory to the country.

Previously, Manulife Vietnam also funded the Vietnam’s sports delegation at the 2008 Olympics Games in Beijing.
