Manulife appointed as Employee Benefits provider for seven new companies

To manage clients’ DPLK Pension Programs, Employee Severance Payment Program and Group Life and Health Programs

Jakarta – PT Asuransi Jiwa Manulife Indonesia (Manulife Indonesia) today signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with seven companies who have selected Manulife Indonesia as their employee benefits program provider. The MoUs were signed between Manulife Indonesia, who was represented by David Beynon, President Director for Manulife Indonesia, and the following companies: PT Anabatic Teknologi for Group Life and Health (GLH) and DPLK Programs; PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia for the GLH Program; PT Boehringer Ingelheim Indonesia for the GLH Program; PT Great Eastern Life Indonesia for the GLH Program; PT K Line Air Service Indonesia for the GLH Program; PT Papertech Indonesia for the DPLK Program; and, PT Tira Austenite Tbk for the Employee Severance Payment Program.

“In addition to the seven companies that signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with us today, we are in the process of completing agreements with several more companies to provide employee benefits programs for their employees. This is certainly a great way for us to start the year of 2007,” said David Beynon, President Director, Manulife Indonesia, at the signing event today in Jakarta. “On the other hand, this also reflects the success of our efforts in educating the market on the importance of employee benefits programs for both companies and employees.”

“By assigning a third party to manage a company’s employee benefits programs, the company can focus on their core business but at the same time ensure their employees’ well-being is taken care of, thus motivating their employees to give their best to the company,” said Naresh Krishnan, Manulife Indonesia Senior Vice President for Alternative Distribution and Wealth Management.
