Manila - Manulife Philippines announced the appointment of Indren Naidoo as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer effective December 1, 2009. He succeeds Carl Steven Gustini who will assume the Country Manager position in Manulife Vietnam.
Mr. Naidoo has worked in the Philippines for over 8 years as Chief Financial Officer for 2 major multinational life insurance companies. His responsibilities in this capacity included development of business strategy, product design and regular interaction with and support of sales force channels, including Agency, Bancassurance and Alternative Channels.
Prior to his time in the Philippines, Mr. Naidoo worked in several countries in Asia in a similar capacity. Mr. Naidoo has over 11 years experience as a corporate banker with ANZ Banking Group in Australia.
Mr. Naidoo holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) & CPA and a Graduate Diploma in Computing from MonashUniversity in Australia as well as a Diploma of Management from the University of Michigan Business School in the U.S.
