Bangkok – Manulife Financial, incorporated in Canada in 1887, celebrates its 125th global anniversary and 115 years in Asia in 2012. Joining the celebrations, Manulife Thailand has announced a special series of initiatives aimed at making a contribution to the community. 

On May 2, Manulife Thailand’s senior management team, together with senior agency managers, visited Hospital Sriraj and made a donation to the King's Foundation. Hospital Sriraj is the public hospital where the King stays and receives medical treatment. On May 12, 200 Manulife employees and agents will participate in the Cancer Care Fun Run in the Lumpini Park, raising funds for Cancer research for the Chulalongong University and Red Cross. And on May 16, the company, employees and agents, will visit an orphanage to provide a special lunch and entertainment for the children.

The Company also announces a facility to allow dividends to accumulate with interest with the company in their participating products – namely Modern Series (Modern Saving, Modern Retirement and Modern Life), Happy Annuity, and their new product, Manulife Premier Protection.  In addition, the Company also announces the development of Manulife Unit Link – an investment linked product which provides customers with great flexibility, such as premium holiday and enables customers to control their investment rather than leaving it to insurance companies as in traditional products.
