Manulife-Sinochem launches its 2010 Baby Campaign: "Special Care for Baby and its Future Dream Education"

Shanghai Manulife-Sinochem (MSL) recently launched its 2010 Baby Campaign, an event and contest under the slogan “Special Care for Baby and its Future Dream Education”. The campaign begins with a contest in which children 0-12 years of age can draw or build their dream school using materials they find at home – bottles, chopsticks, newspapers and so on. An estimated 10,000 babies and their parents in 37 cities are expected to participate in the 2 months the contest is open.

The Baby Campaign serves to remind parents of the need to start education planning early and the role insurance can play in helping them achieve their and their baby’s goals.

To promote this campaign, MSL will be offering prizes to encourage more customers to participate. The overall winner will receive a travel fund worth RMB 10,000 to visit the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada (UVIC), MSL’s partner in the Baby Campaign. The trip will be especially beneficial to MSL customers who intend to send their children for education in Canada.

“This contest can help improve a baby’s creativity and intelligence,” said Mr. James Lin, President of Manulife-Sinochem. ”Parents naturally want their children to have a brilliant future. I hope the babies can go to their dream school when they grow up.”

MSL is committed to supporting children’s health and growth in China. In the past, the company has launched a series of widely welcomed Juvenile products and a similar Baby Campaign every year since 2000. In January 2010, MSL’s Juvenile Par Annuity Product “Fortune Baby” was named “Most Popular Children's Insurance Product” by China Times.
