Manulife seeks to partner with certified inclusive-owned businesses whenever appropriate and economically justified. We value a supplier base that offers a wide array of perspectives, skills, and experiences, while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. For Manulife, inclusive-owned businesses refers to suppliers independently certified by a recognized third‑party organization as being majority‑owned, controlled, and operated by individuals belonging to historically underrepresented or underserved groups (e.g., Women, Indigenous, Minority, Disability-Owned, Veteran-Owned, or 2SLGBTQIA+).

Manulife Vendor Code of Conduct

The Code sets clear expectations for our suppliers to ensure their business practices and behavior aligns with our goals and values. The Code also contains key clauses that reinforce our commitment to fostering a supply chain network that prioritizes environmental protection and the wellness and fair treatment of their employees.

We strive to partner with suppliers that share our commitment to:

Conduct business in accordance with laws and regulations
Prioritize environmental protection and uphold basic human rights
Ensure safe working conditions and comply with responsible employment law

All vendors who provide Manulife with services and/or products are expected to adhere to the requirements of Manulife’s Vendor Code of Conduct (“Code”). All vendors are also expected to self-monitor their compliance through their own processes and notify Manulife if a violation occurs.
