Manulife 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award Winner

Posted:

TORONTO – Manulife has received the 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) for the fourth consecutive year, recognizing the company as one of the most engaged workplace cultures in the world. This year’s recognition places Manulife among a select group of global organizations that demonstrate exceptional leadership in colleague engagement, continuous learning, and wellbeing.

On behalf of our colleagues, I’m so proud to once again receive this recognition. With our Winning Team and Culture at the heart of our global enterprise strategy, we’re committed to strengthening our culture of performance, inclusion, and continuous learning — positioning the organization as a magnet for top talent,” said Pragashini Fox, Chief People Officer, Manulife. “Together, we’ll continue to foster an environment where teams feel supported, can develop emerging capabilities such as upskilling in AI, and feel empowered to do their best work.

Gallup recognized Manulife for its people‑first strategy, strong leadership accountability, and commitment to building an inclusive and high‑performing culture. The company stood out for its progressive human‑capital practices, clear global communication of strategy and expectations, and its investment in colleague development and wellbeing. Manulife’s focus on leadership growth, continuous learning, and emerging skills such as AI has created a workplace where colleagues feel engaged, supported, and empowered to excel.

"Manulife’s success comes from the actions they consistently chose to take. They measured. They listened. They acted. And they held themselves accountable. Today, they are among the best in the world. That is not luck. That is leadership," said Jim Clifton, Gallup’s Chairman of the Board.

Gallup’s meta-analysis on team engagement and performance is the most comprehensive workplace study ever conducted, with data on more than 3.3 million employees in 347 organizations across 53 industries and 90 countries. Highly engaged organizations significantly outperform their peers on important business outcomes, including customer ratings, profitability, productivity, turnover, safety incidents, shrinkage, absenteeism, quality, wellbeing and organizational citizenship.
