Colin is the global chief investment officer, public markets, responsible for all aspects of Manulife Investment Management’s public markets investment processes and the investment performance of its equity, fixed-income, and solutions-oriented strategies. He’s responsible for the development and implementation of the firm’s investment philosophy, risk management approach, and environmental, social, and governance integration. Colin is also responsible for the attraction, development, and retention of high-performing talent consistent with the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments. He represents the organization as a thought leader across all client segments.

Colin is a member of the global wealth and asset management leadership team, contributing to the creation and execution of its strategic vision. He brings more than 21 years of investment management experience to his role. Colin joined Manulife Investment Management from Aviva Investors, where he worked for 13 years, most recently as chief investment officer (CIO), liquid markets. Other roles he held at Aviva, included CIO, credit, head of global investment-grade credit, and credit fund manager, and prior to that, Colin spent time at Aegon Asset Management and Charles Stanley.

Colin began his career at the Financial Services Authority in 2002 and has the Certificate in Securities and Financial Derivatives from the Securities Institute and is a CFA charterholder.
