Nadia was responsible for the portfolio management of liability-driven investments and fixed-income index mandates in Canada. She led the investment decision-making and portfolio construction process, collaborated with financial engineering and quantitative research professionals on investment ideas and research, and worked jointly with investment strategists to elaborate solutions for our clients and prospects. In addition, Nadia was also involved in the ESG integration into the investment process and was part of the portfolio management team responsible for the development and management of a suite of active fixed income exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Nadia joined the firm when Standard Life's Canadian operations were acquired by Manulife in January 2015. She joined Standard Life Investments (SLI) in 2001 as a specialist on the quantitative management team, was promoted to portfolio manager in 2005, and was appointed vice president in 2010. Prior to working at SLI, she spent three years teaching and performing industry research while completing Ph.D. courses at HEC Montréal in such areas as modeling and optimization as well as financial mathematics. Nadia holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
