Shannon is a managing director responsible for overseeing all credit investment risk and asset management functions across the real estate credit platform. Prior to joining the firm, she performed acquisitions for an institutional fund investing in distressed real estate properties in New York City, and was chief credit officer for Exantas, a publicly traded mortgage real estate investment trust managed by an Island Capital affiliate. She also served as head of floating-rate capital markets at Natixis Real Estate Finance and began her career in real estate finance at Lehman Brothers in the principal transactions group, later joining the credit distribution team. Following the Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy, she was a senior member of the team charged with asset management of the estate’s real estate holdings.
