With more than 28 years of experience in the group benefits and retirement industry, Brett Marchand joined Manulife in 2001 and has held progressively senior roles across the group business. Prior to his current role, Brett served as Vice President, Distribution, Group Benefits and Retirement Solutions, where he oversaw Canada’s largest group distribution network of business development executives, customer relationship managers, and client administration professionals.

In 2016, Brett was appointed Senior Vice-President, Canada Retirement, where he assumed overall P&L accountability for the Canadian Retirement business. His mandate includes oversight of solution delivery, product development, strategy, national education and overall client sales and relationship management.

In 2018, when Manulife formed its Global Wealth and Asset Management business, Brett’s mandate expanded as he became a member of both the Global Leadership and Global Retirement Leadership teams. 

Prior to Manulife, Brett worked for two of Canada’s largest Insurance companies. He has lived in both Ontario and Western Canada during his career, and he and his family now call Toronto home.
