Erick manages and expands value-added services for Manulife’s North American assets. His work involves developing projects related to forest carbon and other natural climate solutions and ecosystem services. Before joining the firm, he was the carbon lead at Natural Capital Exchange (NCX), where he oversaw the development of forest carbon projects in the United States and managed innovations to NCX’s improved forest management carbon methodology. Erick also gained valuable carbon market expertise while working at Conservation International, where he led research on a reduced-impact logging methodology for the Peruvian Amazon and developed reforestation projects across Latin America.
