As a senior member of the Retirement Investment Product group, Michael leads the team that develops and manages the investment platforms for Manulife’s retirement business in Canada and John Hancock’s group annuity business in the US. In this role he maintains relationships with over sixty investment management firms worldwide. Michael joined Manulife in 2020 with over 20 years’ experience in investment and distribution leadership positions, most recently as the AVP of Product Management with Sun Life Global Investments. 

Michael’s education includes a BAA in Public Administration from Toronto Metropolitan University, a Chartered Investment Management designation from the Canadian Securities Institute, and Responsible Investment Professional certification.

Michael supports causes that provide positive representation and mentorship for young people in marginalized communities and sits on the board of Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), an educational nonprofit. Based in Toronto, Michael is an avid fan of all its sports teams. He also enjoys travelling abroad and is a voracious reader.
