Who has access to your plan?

If you manage your plan access, here’s how to answer this important question.

Your organization manages permissions for countless platforms, programs, and online spaces. It can be difficult to remember to remove old personnel once they leave or change roles. It’s possible that several individuals maintain access to your plan but should be removed. March is fraud prevention month and it’s a good reminder to update your access lists, including who can sign in to your group retirement plan.

If your role is to validate and manage accesses, you can sign in to the secure sponsor site and view a full list of users with plan access, along with their role, their administrative group and their effective date. You can easily remove access for any individual, resulting in an immediate change to their permissions.

Protect your plan today: From the secure site, go to Administration, then Managing access. Review the list and confirm if all users are correct or remove users.

We recommend regularly reviewing this list to update users.

Data security is a critical part of any organization. Regularly reviewing your access list is a simple yet effective way to help keep your plan information safe.
