Recruitment Scams

Posted :

It has come to our attention that certain individuals and organisations have advertised false employment opportunities with Manulife (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“Manulife”) on social media and their own websites.

These misleading recruitment advertisements have not been authorised by Manulife and are fraudulent. Further to that, you may be asked to provide some personal information before you are able to view the supposed job opportunities on those social media platforms or websites.

Manulife does not obtain personal information from anyone unless entering into the formal recruitment process, and would post job opportunities with all relevant details such as the job scope, and the prerequisite work experience and academic qualifications. Please exercise proper discretion when disclosing your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know.

Please also note that Manulife does not ever ask for money or payments from applicants at any point in the recruitment process.

If you are contacted by someone or see job advertisements relating to Manulife on any media, and suspect them to be fraudulent or questionable, please notify us by email at sgrecruitment@manulife.com to verify if the job posting is a scam. If determined to be a scam, you should consider taking other appropriate and lawful steps such as contacting your local police station and providing them with all information you may have about those questionable job postings or the senders (email addresses, phone/fax details, etc.) or the websites.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will take further measures as necessary to ensure the security of everyone.
