Perform a fund switch

A fund switch allows you to transfer existing units from one fund to another within your Investment-Linked Policy.

What you need to know

  • The minimum fund switch amount is S$500 per fund for all Unit-Linked Plans and USD 1,000 per fund for Signature Series and Fusion Plans, subject to the available fund value. If the available fund value is lower than the applicable minimum amount, the entire fund value may be switched out.
  • Fund switch requests are processed as one-time transactions and do not affect the allocation of future premium payments. If you wish to change the allocation of future premiums, please submit a premium redirection request instead.
  • Processing of the fund switch request will be deferred if the policy is subject to fund holidays, monthiversary activities, loyalty bonus processing, or any outstanding or uncompleted fund transactions. In such cases, the request will be treated as received on the first business day after these activities have been completed.

  • If you need help reviewing the suitability of your investment, or if you do not have a valid Customer Knowledge Assessment (CKA), please get in touch with your Representative who can assist you on your request.
  • If you have passed your CKA and do not wish to receive advice on your investment choices, you may submit your instructions by logging in to our secure customer portal, MyManulife, or the Manulife SG App.

  • For Fund Switch requests that are approved and received by Manulife before 3pm (Singapore time) on a business day, the Fund Switch transaction will be completed between 2 to 5 business days, depending on the type of fund. 
  • Any Fund Switch requests that are approved and received by Manulife on or after 3pm (Singapore time) on a business day shall be deemed as received by Manulife on the next business day. 
     

Note:

Please note that if your policy is subject to any ongoing internal activities, including but not limited to fund holidays, monthiversary processing, or pending fund transactions that have not been completed, the processing of your request will be deferred until such activities have been completed.

In such cases, your request will be deemed to have been received on the first business day following such completion of the relevant activities, and the applicable fund price will be determined on that basis.
