6 Things to Do at Home During the Coronavirus Outbreak

Rediscovery and re-tooling in the midst of COVID-19

Let’s face it: the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is not something you, or anyone else for that matter, was prepared for. The challenge of isolating yourself physically from your social contacts and staying home 24/7 with nowhere else to go, are realities that you are forced to deal with.

Here are some suggestions on how you can break the monotony during COVID-19, come out of the quarantine at home renewed and recharged, and make your every day better.

1. Learn a new language

Now is the perfect time to learn how to say “How much for this?” in a lingo of a country you have always dreamed of traveling to. You can do this through online classes, or through downloadable apps, or you can DIY it too by preparing flashcards to learn new words each day.

2. Learn a dance routine or two

Learn how to cha-cha your way through your next office party program or perhaps amp up your game by learning hip-hop moves that will make you the dancing diva of your team.

3. Rediscover the joy of reading

Inspect your bookcases and reacquaint yourself with the smell and feel of books while losing yourself in another world through fiction, biographies, and tales.

4. Take out your pots and pans

Try replicating food from your favorite resto. Not only is it a safer alternative to take-outs but a feel-good project that you can accomplish. Just ask someone to do the dishes after!

5. Clear out and organize

There will always be a drawer, cabinet, or piles of paper that you can start clearing out and put some semblance of order to in your house. You can clean your cabinet, and set aside things you haven’t used, and things to donate. Label your cupboards or throw away those chipped cups and saucers that you have been keeping for ages.

6. Review your health care plan

It is because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak that people begin to rethink and realize the importance of health and life protection. Are you prepared for unexpected health issue that could possibly come by at anytime? The to-do list can go on and on, just be creative and open to new learnings and re-learnings, live every day better with a bit of freshness. And of course, have fun!
