Segregated funds, GIA and Manulife Vitality
For a streamlined sign-in process, please connect any of your segregated fund contracts, GIAs or Manulife Vitality program accounts (where applicable) to your Manulife ID. If you need to set up a Manulife ID, to get started click on the corresponding link on the tile below. If you already set up your Manulife ID, simply sign in. Your Manulife ID is all you need to sign in to all of your Manulife accounts or products.
Life insurance and living benefits insurance policyholders
Many policyholders can view and update their life, critical illness, or disability insurance details online on the customer secure site (via their computer desktop).
Now they can view individual life insurance policy details on the Manulife Mobile app. Note that updating and accessing statements or notices are not available yet. You can download the app from your mobile app store. We’d love to hear from you. While you’re in the app, use the Feedback section to suggest future app features you’d like to see.

Insurance policyholder information updates
With an online account, your insurance policy details are available 24/7. You can make changes to policy details when it's convenient for you. Tasks you can undertake at your convenience include:
- Reviewing your insurance policy details
- Downloading statements, notices, and tax slips
- Updating mailing and/or email addresses
- Updating bank information
- Manage your beneficiary information
- Cancel your Manulife Term policy
- Setting document preferences to “go paperless”
- Changing your document preferences (Defaults to: digital documents)
Note: Starting in early 2026, paperless tax slips will be available online for applicable individual insurance policies for the 2025 tax year and onward.

Do all insurance policyholders have online access?
We're working diligently to provide all insurance policyholders access to their information online. Most policies are already eligible for online accress. However, the following policies are not yet accessible online:
- corporately-owned policies (i.e., those with a business name listed as the owner)
- Standard Life policies
If your insurance policy is from Standard Life or corporately owned, please reach out to our Customer Contact Centre at 1-888-626-8543 or by email manulife_insurance@manulife.ca to obtain or update your policy information.
Note: If your insurance policy is part of an employee benefits program, you’ll need to connect with your employer to obtain or update your policy information.

Once signed in, Segregated fund contract owners and Guaranteed Interest Account (GIA) owners can access their investment details and information including:
- market value
- holdings
- transaction history
- digital copies of statements
- transaction confirmations and tax reporting
After sign in, owners can also update their email address online.

Once you sign in to your account, you will find your Manulife Vitality program information online. Program members can update email addresses and phone numbers online from their insurance account (as these kinds of updates cannot be made in the Manulife Vitality app).
- Go to the sign-in page
- Sign in with the same Manulife ID you use to access Manulife Vitality.
- Click Profile in the top right corner, then Manage your Manulife ID.
- You’ll be sent an authentication code, so enter that once you receive it.
- Once you’re on the Manage your Manulife ID page, click the Edit button to change your email address or phone number.

Frequently asked questions
A Manulife ID makes signing in to your Manulife account(s) easier. It’s a foundational set of credentials that you choose (i.e., username and password). The process of signing in with your Manulife ID confirms your identity and authorizes you to enter your personal online accounts and/or review your individual insurance policy details or investment products.
Persons with one account need one Manulife ID. Persons with several accounts also need one Manulife ID. Essentially, a Manulife ID is required, but also provides the following benefits:
- All-around security of information and identification
- Account verification enabled through two-step authentication
- A simpler sign-in process, as there’s just one set of credentials to remember
- It’s easier to switch between accounts after signing in (no need to sign in to separate accounts with separate credentials)
No, this is not where you need to go to submit a health and dental claim. This online portal only contains the following:
- life insurance and living benefits policy information (e.g., critical illness, disability insurance)
- Segregated fund access
- GIA contract access
- Manulife Vitality access
If you need to make a health and dental claim, you must sign in to SecureServe®. From there, you can follow the steps and start a claim (Note: you need to have a Manulife ID to sign in to SecureServe as well).
You need to connect your Manulife product(s) to your unique Manulife ID to make it easier and faster to access all your Manulife product(s) in one place. Your chosen sign-in credentials (i.e., username and password) get saved in your Manulife ID. Your different accounts get associated with your ID through the connection process.
Once your connections are made, the next time you sign in, connected products will simply appear for you to go to right away.
Many customers have more than one account or policy with Manulife. Each account gets connected through providing particulars, as follows:
For insurance policyholders:
Connect your policy(ies) to your Manulife ID by entering the policy number, policy owner name, birthdate of any insured person on the policy, and postal code.
For Segregated fund and GIAs:
Connect your contracts to your Manulife ID by entering your postal code, contract number and requesting a verification code.
For Manulife Vitality:
Connect your Manulife Vitality program to your Manulife ID by entering your postal code, email address, and life insurance policy number, or health and dental plan number and ID number.
No, you don’t need to set up a new Manulife ID. The Manulife ID you’ve been using up until now is the only one you need for all the products and services you have with Manulife.

Confirmation notices, along with mid-year and annual statements, provide more details about the Daily Interest Account (DIA) and GIAs held in a contract. To find digital copies, click Review documents.
Typically, the Free Amount is the number of units you can withdraw without incurring a deferred sales charge (DSC).
However, in the Account Snapshot view, the Free Amount total also includes amounts that can be withdrawn without fees from non-DSC funds, and any amounts held in a Daily Interest Account (DIA).
