Photo Opportunity: Manulife Displays Over 11,800 Canadian Flags to Remember Our Fallen Heroes

TORONTO - On Tuesday, November 6, the annual ceremony honouring Canadian Armed Forces members who made the ultimate sacrifice will take place at Manulife's global headquarters in Toronto.
As a gesture of gratitude and remembrance, approximately 11,800 Canadian flags will be planted on the front lawn of our global headquarters to honour more than 118,000 members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have fallen in service from the days of the South African War to the Afghanistan mission, as well as peacekeeping missions.
This year’s Remembrance Day, on November 11, also marks 100 years since the end of World War I and reminds us of the sacrifices made by Canadians who fought and died to defend and promote values of freedom, democracy and human rights.
