Manulife Recognized as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, Inducted into Waterstone Human Capital Hall of Fame

November 25, 2021

TORONTO – Manulife has been recognized as having one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures. Manulife received the acknowledgement from Waterstone Human Capital, which identifies best-in-class Canadian organizations with cultures that help their organizations enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage. This year’s recognition is the fourth time the company has received the acknowledgement from Waterstone Human Capital, placing Manulife in the Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures™ Hall of Fame among only 10 other companies.

“I’m proud of the achievements our team has made. This is a recognition of how committed each of our colleagues are to building an inclusive, high-performing culture that drives how we support our customers,” says Kathryn Kitchen, Head of Human Resources at Manulife in Canada. “Together we’re creating an environment where everyone feels supported, included and energized about the future, and where we each work to help bring our incredible Manulife culture to life.”

Fifty winners are chosen annually across five categories. Submissions are scored based a company’s vision and leadership, recruitment and hiring for fit, people development and talent management, cultural alignment and measurement, organizational performance and corporate social responsibility.

“At Waterstone we believe corporate culture drives performance and that it’s your organization’s greatest asset,” says Marty Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Waterstone Human Capital and Chair of the Canada’s Most Admired™ program. “Each of the 2021 award recipients puts culture at the centre of everything they do, and demonstrates a commitment to culture as competitive advantage. They set an excellent example of how crafting and sustaining a high-performance culture can drive incredible growth and performance.”
