In addition to these two top accolades, the company was also awarded “Excellence” in five other categories and “Outstanding” in six categories across a wide spectrum of categories including products, marketing and corporate social responsibility.

These awards are testament to Manulife’s long-standing commitment to product and service innovation and providing the best-in-class health and retirement solutions to meet customers’ needs.

“As an insurer with an unrivalled position, Manulife is committed to providing our customers with a comprehensive range of innovative solutions tailored to meet their evolving needs at different life stages,” said Damien Green, Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Hong Kong and Macau. “We are delighted to have won a record number of awards this year, and we are particularly excited to have been crowned top honours in both the “Insurance Company of the Year” and “MPF Provider of the Year” categories, reflecting our all-round excellence as a trusted partner that supports over 2.3 million customers to make easier decisions and live every day better.”

Despite the constraints of the pandemic, Manulife Hong Kong delivered strong results across key financial metrics in 2020 and the first quarter of 2021. These results demonstrate the underlying strength and resilience of the company’s business – with continuous agency sales growth, backed by robust demand for its saving plans, critical illness products and tax-deductible solutions.

In April, the company announced it has signed a lease agreement for approximately 145,000 square feet of Grade A office space at International Trade Tower (ITT) in Kowloon East. This was Hong Kong’s largest Grade A office leasing deal since July 2019 and the largest in Kowloon East since April 2018 in terms of net floor area[1], reinforcing Manulife’s commitment to Hong Kong and its ambition to accelerate agency growth.

Manulife remains the largest MPF service provider with a record-high market share of 24.7% based on assets under management as of March 31, 2021[2].
